Terms of Service

Last updated August 25, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Dunu desktop IDE, the Dunu iOS app, the dunu-server and related command-line tools, and this website (together, "Dunu"). By downloading or using Dunu you agree to them.

License

Dunu is open-source software released under the MIT License. You may use, copy, modify, and redistribute it under the terms of that license, available in the source repository at dunudev/dunu. These terms supplement — and where they conflict with the MIT License with respect to the source code, defer to — that license.

Hypery accounts and paid services

Agent features require a Hypery account. Your relationship with Hypery — including any credits, subscriptions, or billing — is governed by Hypery's own terms and is purchased and managed outside the Dunu apps. The editor, git tooling, terminal, and extensions work without an account.

Acceptable use

Don't use Dunu to break the law, to infringe others' rights, to probe or attack systems you aren't authorized to access, or to interfere with the services Dunu connects to. You are responsible for the servers you connect the apps to and for the code you write, run, and ship with them.

AI-generated output

The built-in agent produces machine-generated suggestions. They may be wrong, insecure, or unsuitable for your purpose. You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and deciding whether to use any output. Dunu does not warrant that generated code is correct, original, or fit for any particular use.

Your content

Your code and data remain yours. Dunu claims no ownership of anything you create, open, or generate with it.

Disclaimer of warranties

Dunu is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Dunu authors and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption — arising from your use of Dunu, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

iOS app

The iOS app is a client for servers you operate. Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. To the extent required, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; changes take effect when posted here with an updated date. Questions? Open an issue at dunudev/dunu or email support@dunu.dev.
